Salvation and the Soundness of Mind

Having been diagnosed as bipolar, with psychotic disorders, having attempted suicide, and having a history of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and anxiety attacks, I have been prescribed medication to alter my behavior and mood. Some of the medication was helpful, but some was not. I learned that when I’m in the will of God, my mind is stable; when I go on my own path and step out of the Lord’s plan, I have issues. The Lord has provided men and women with the gift of hearing and listening and talent to help people like me and others. Just as the Lord provides rain as a resource for flowers and trees, these men and women are resources for a sound mind.

God’s grace and mercy have been exceedingly abundant in my life, and I pray that the scriptures, testimonials, and prophetic words in this book will help combat the woes of the mind and incite change and freedom. But, “before you can be free you must acknowledge you are bound.”

The Women of Azusa Street: Revised Edition

These women were there as the Azusa Street Revival exploded a new spirituality onto the American religious scene and they all made significant contributions to the birth and early spread of the Pentecostal movement. Yet, when the story of one of the most important events of modern Christian history is told, many of their names are never heard so they have never received recognition they deserve. This expanded volume of my earlier work is an attempt to continue to correct this oversight.
